Channing's allergies
I have always joked around that Channing seems to allergic to the entire world, but last month we actually found out how true that really is. His allergy/asthma doctor said he might be a good candidate for allergy shots, aka immunotherapy, but they needed to determine what exactly he was allergic to. So, we went in for the scratch tests on his back. They tested him for 40 common weeds, trees, animals, etc. The nurse pricked his back 40 times and then left the room for 10 minutes. When she came back in, her exact expression was "Wow! I've never seen anyone allergic to all 40 things before!" Well, technically he wasn't allergic to two things which was mice and cockroaches. But his poor back was basically one big welt and it was itching him to death. The good news is he can start on allergy shots but because he is allergic to so many things, he doesn't just get one shot a week, he has a shot in each arm, so two shots per week for six months and then the doctor said most likely they can go to every other week for six months. Apparently, we won't see much difference until a year from now, but Channing is actually excited about getting these shots because it could mean down the road he won't have any allergies which would mean his asthma would go away because it is allergy triggered! So keep your fingers crossed for him!
